I've had TF, OME, and RTE coil springs. I had one TF spring on a D1 sag prematurely, but on a D2 I've had no issue besides the paint being delicate (I hit em up with clear coat before I install em now). I do like the quality of the OME coils, however I haven't had very good results with their shocks from bushings completely crumbling to a few shocks leaking at barely 2 years old. TF Shocks have been very good IMHO so that makes em even. RTE Coils are great, but you need to choose the proper ones for your needs as they have several different rates to choose from. Finish on the RTE Coil springs falls between the OME & TF Coils.

It seems you could get as many opinions as people, but it comes down to what you want and ultimately, your budget. I've learned, when you can't make up your mind, go with the most popular option which is OME. I took the cheaper route with TF, and had to buy springs again when they broke. You may never have the problem that I did, but it will always be in the back of your mind; will they hold up? Will I have to spend the $ again, if they fail? Just my .02!

OME heavy springs for a truck with 50+ lb on either end of the vehicle. Medium for factory trim.

IMO you won't ever feel luxurious in a disco. Maybe with air bags but never with coils. Comfortable sure, but they aren't quite, and they aren't soft. The best you can hope for is controlled.

I put OME HD with Rovertym 2" springs back in 06'. Still riding 👍🏻. Estimated 30k miles so far as I just passed 63k on my 03'.

OK i'm going to throw another brank out there.
I don't even know it they are still available in the USA?
I bought my 2" lift when I got my truck in 2006 before doing any research.

Big Blues with Procomp shocks from DAP.
Latter I heard they were crap.
I've had those same shocks and springs on there over 10 years and over 80K mile with many heavy loaded camping trips without a problem or sagging.
Maybe I just got like?

Just some INFO re: the Big Blue Springs are actually BEARMACH and a few places still sell them in The US.
Procomp Shocks you can get a set of 4 for about $150 shipped at Summit Racing.

Thanks OverRover for throwing in a monkey wrench (Bearmach springs) into the equation. Jk...
I was set on getting the RTE HD springs but I'll have to look into these Bearmachs.

Yeah I knew they were Bearmach but a lot of people 10 years ago said they were junk.
But I had already bought mine and expected the worse but I have no complaints.
I did have one shock bushing fall apart but DAP sent be a complete replacement set for free.
I've been thinking of replacing the shocks only because they are so old and have a lot of miles on them but they seem to be working just fine. They are starting to rust pretty bad with the salt used during Michigan winters but so is the whole truck frame.

Never heard of Pro Comp Shocks for a D2. I used em on my 97 D1 back in the day and I had no complaints besides the paint on them didn't hold up all that well, but I've learned to apply a coat or two of Clear Coat to all shocks/springs and they hold up better.
