Default shop manual

I just purchased a 96 disco that has some issues.Im doing the head gaskets now. I have a hayes manual. I was wondering if thereis anywhere online I could download a factory shop/parts manual. I have a few more issues to deal with that the hayes wldnt cover. (sunroofs not opening...etc). Ive gotten my parts thru rovers north. Theyseem to bevery helpful an reasonable pricewise, are there any other places that someone suggest for parts? Also, is it common for the cylinder heads to be very an gunky an sludgy( like i can scoop it out with a flathead screw driver?) I have yet to pull the oil pan to see whats going on downstairs but the tappets seem clean and that area is not to bad. The motor made no tapping/grinding metal on metal noises. The rover has a 140k on it.
Thanks

Hi Erik,

You may want to try Motorcars LTD. at www.motorcarsltd.com
They specialize in Land Rover and Jaguar parts.

They have service CDs at:

Hope that helps.

For the shop manual go to Rover-Renovations and order a rave CD, they will send you a CD that has everything you need, including the shop manual (and even things like owners manuals are on this CD, and it has all shop manuals for every land rover.) Usually it costs $10.00 but they will send it to you for free. I'm pretty sure it will have the things you need.

HERE IS THE SITE:

Hopefully that helps a little!
Cameron.

As for places to order parts from, my favorite used part supplier is, http://www.roverlandparts.com/

Two other new parts suppliers I like are, http://www.roverconnection.com/ and http://www.dap-inc.com/homeframe.htm

For OME, Magnacor wires and some brake parts, http://www.lrrforums.com/store/index.php

Hope this helps,
Mike
