Default Should I do it?

So I have been eyeballing this Discovery II for a WHILE now, this lot has had it sitting but its never been for sale as it has a few ISSUES.

First let me reintroduce myself, Im formally known on here [or unknown] as Spencer on the Disco I side. I made the jump from a D1 to a LR3 [also owning a 97 RR for a few weeks] and decided i prefer the older style DII 03-04 THE MOST. Also considering a 03+ Range Rover

I had my last one built up and pretty BIG about 4-5" of lift with 33's. I have since matured [I think] and while I may add a small lift and slightly bigger tires, it'll all be slight.

The issues with the truck are as follows.

-Paint is good condition minus a few dents scratches and scuff on front bumper.
-It has a slight front end vibration that could be as simple as un balanced wheels but I know its not the driveshaft
-Its an 03 but with 120k it NORMALLY would have failed by now.
-Its missing the rear tailgate handle cover [I already found one plus a locking transfercase for 100$]

The good
-Runs good
-No cooling problem [thoroughly] checked
-Tires are almost new
-Interior is good
-Getting it for 5k
-wheel arches need paint [I can do]

Im just a little hesitant, not really because of the issues [ I can fix that] but because of color [looks darker in person which is better but..]

Tell me what yall think....

Have you ever driven a d2?the seat and steering wheel position are terrable my knees almost touch the wheel when I'm driving, just not comfy.ive never driven a d1 so maybe it's the same. You seem more style fixated so maybe doesn't matter to you.

Just a heads up for you in your decision making.

I would buy it, I bought an '03 last year for roughly the same amount and in near enough the same condition, mine did have the rear handle and I love mine. The flat earth folks on here will say stay clear of the 03's due to the oil pump issues but thats just great as it means more inlightend folks can get a great bargin, 120k miles go for it and enjoy a disco again

I like that color. Not as common as some of the others.

I am with Wilson, I like the color, and if it shows a little darker in person I like it more. From what I see, you get the elegance of the color black with some metallic thrown in to make a stylish color. Go for it!

BTW, if you need any additional parts, Wilson can supply them for you, he is a great guy and ships fast and reasonable

I am still waiting on pictures of your new front ARB Sahara bumper Wilson!

It is really pretty.
Take it for a good long drive.
The '03's drop sleeves from overheating issues.
The oil pumps blow up.
I have an '01 and my '01 looks like a poor peasant
compared to your future rover.
But, my insides are pretty clean. A very nice girl owned it.
You also gotta assure it does not need head gaskets.
You need to pull out all the codes with a reader.
Even if the check engine light is off, there can be PENDING codes.
