Should I go with the 180ºF Thermostat?

Yes it starts to open at 180 but is not fully open till 192 where the 180 is completely open at 180.

Yes it a direct swop, plug and play, just make sure you bleed the system as per the RAVE

Default 180 thermostat

Any help on where to purchase these 180 soft springs thermostat?
Looks like lucky 8 is back ordered and the motorad version is a 180 but no idea if it is a soft spring.

I ordered my from Rimmer Bros of England. Took about four days and was LandRover part. Forgot the part number, but I did post the number a while ago.

I used amazon. Motorad 439-180. I think it was about 30$. Brought temps down a good 10 degrees.

oreilly auto parts got mine for me and they price matched lucky 8... mine runs cool, like I said before 188 hwy 194 in a drive through

Don't order if from the part monster , Amazon is a good deal. Justin is to pricey on his stuff, double what it is on Amazon for the same part.

I got mine off of amazon from the parts monster. I think i read on here somewhere that they have sent the wrong Tstat before but mine was spot on.

Interestingly enough...

I ordered from the part monster, but they were slow to ship and I ended up having to track one down locally as I was on a schedule of sorts. I found a warehouse in Brooklyn that had one in stock, scooped it up, and was on my merry way.

The Part Monster one showed up a few days later... from the same warehouse in Brooklyn. Imagine that.

Slow shipping aside, they were good to deal with in person, the parts manager is a Land Rover owner, and actually makes it a point to stock tons of OEM LR inventory for the local shops that do LR work and can't wait on the dealer to get parts.
