3inch lift and 275/65R18 is a good combo. Allows for plenty of flex and no rubbing. 2inch lift 255/70R18 or 265/75R16 is also a good combo. If you go with TF springs make sure to clear coat them before installing them.

@Best4x4 why do you recommend clearing the TF springs? Rust?

My truck has TF shocks and springs and the springs are incredibly rusty. I assumed they were stock but they were claimed to have been installed when the shocks were installed.

The grey paint on the TF springs isn't the greatest and usually the front ones = grey paint just falls right off and yep very quickly you have rusty looking coils. I however do like the ride and how the 2inch MD sit on a D2. OME and RTE are great, but TF aren't bad.

3" RTE springs for me on my white d2 and 3" DAP big blue springs on my green d2. Plenty of photos of my two rigs in: https://landroverforums.com/forum/4x...-95183/page11/

I’ve seen a few threads now where you suggest doing this. Shock bodies as well?

Shocks seem to hold up pretty good paint wise. Just their coils which have poor paint jobs.

That's a good looking 04. I'd just get some 265/60-18 tires and skip the lift.

Here's a before and after of my truck. The before is bone-stock. The after is a 2 inch lift with 265/65R18's. The from mud flaps rubed on full lock, but a little trimming fixed that.
