I was just reading what it says in the RAVE which I copied and pasted to the forum for everybody to read, and it says, unless I am reading it wrong, that under normal braking equal amounts of braking power are sent to each wheel.
This all changes with a panic stop, wet pavement, etc.
On a side note I dont have ABS, I pulled my fuse a long time ago.
I dont make panic stops, I pay attention to whats going on around me so I cant tell you if my truck nose dives or not.

@sloppyjoe,

"If" your ABS still works with the amigos on, then it is likely to be only one thing and that is a shuttle valve issue, as EVERY other fault, shuts the ABS down completely.

What you read didn't give you the key piece of information you needed. You're reading about the stuff after the MC, which does in fact allow full flow to all 4 wheels under normal braking. But that "full flow" has already been proportioned - in the master cylinder.

Modern hydraulic brake vehicles either have an external proportioner valve (old school, makes it a PITA to bleed your bakes) or its proportioned in the MC (which is what almost everyone went to when the DOT regs said you needed 2 separate hydraulic systems).

Not trying to argue with you here. Just making sure you and anyone reading this for information knows what is going on. It's important to have at least a rudimentary understanding of how all of these things work if you want to move from "the book says if 'A' is wrong and I should do 'B' to fix it" to being able to do real troubleshooting.

Sloppyjoe. According to my 2 Diagnostic devices, my issue is, 114:Shuttle Valve Switch Electrical Failure. I have the same problem every once in a while and in my attempt to fix it, I bought a used ABS modulator (Ebay for very cheap) just so I can open it and try and see if it can be "fixed" like the one in this write-up.

http://www.landroverclubvi.com/absmod.html

Then I will remove my original one and compare and to the new (used one) The kits available for the ABS pump won't fix the issue addressed in this write-up. But something you should read up on if you haven't already.

update,,,,

did some panic stops and NO ABS,,,

drove to auto parts store and coded it. nothing showed stored in the system and when i plugged in the code reader the 3 amigos went off. and have not come back on.

as long as they stay off i will try panic stopping again and see if the ABS works.

ideas?

You need a ABS scanner to read ABS codes.

As for ideas flush the brake fluid, thats all I got right now.
