Default Side step mounting leg?

Taking the side steps off our disco and noticed these mounting legs hang pretty far. Is there a bolt that goes in place of them?

The body mount bolt and nut. I can't recall if I got mine from Atlantic British or Rovers North. That extension unscrews and is replaced by the nut, but if there is enough rust gluing it on you may need to drop in a fresh bolt as well.

Thanks guys! So it looks like I’ll just need 1 and 7? Or will I need 2,4,6 as well? I’d assume those are already there?

You only need if I recall 4. When I installed/uninstalled the ones I got I replaced the 4 bolts and the nuts as they were rusted on. Unless things are rotten or falling apart nut and bolt is all you will need.
Here was my order:

No! No! No!

Everything needed is already there.

What you are calling the "leg" is screwed onto the body mount bolt. Just put a Crescent wrench on it and unscrew it to remove it.

Then, just use the flange nut pictured that's on the "leg" and install it on the body mount bolt.

Done.

I'd did this a few months ago when I gave away the side steps from my truck.

I had a hunch that flange bolt would work. But I didn’t want to go pulling off the leg without knowing it’s purpose as it was attached at a body point lol

Yes it is the same nut, but if its rusted you know what to get. Mine had to be cut out, having them on hand is not a bad thing.

I apologize for my rant. It was late and I saw this thread on my phone. I saw something about ordering the bolts and nuts and overlooked that hasullivan had already said the extensions just unscrew.

But, if you do need to replace any of the bolts or nuts you should be able to simply go to your local hardware store to buy them. No need to order them.
