Default side steps

[align=left]Hi all,
new to the forum but keen to get going, hope I can be of help
in the future as well as being helped . Just bought some second hand side steps and not sure how they should fit. They have two 7" lengths of 1" box steel about 45" apart protruding inboard. The box steel has bolts about 2" apart, they are genuine Landrover steps, the type with rubber tread.
A kind chap sent me a drawing of some small brackets with holes in but I cannot see for the life of me where they should fit. Are there already fixing holes in the chassis/outriggers or do I have to drill them. Keen to get these fitted to enable elderly passengers who we give lifts to easier access.

I have a 1996 300TDi 5 door Discovery.

Thanks in anticipation..........John

Do you know what version of side steps they are? There are a couple differnt factory versions. Usually, if you can find out what kind they are you can find a company that sells them and they can send you directions for free (or cheap). Describe them a little more or take a picture and I will try to find them on Atlantic British or D.A.P Inc. I know for a fact atlantic british provides directions for these things right on there site.

[align=left]Hey Cameron,
many thanks from across the pond, had a look at Atlantic British and I think I found just what I need. They are very similar to the Chevron ones they advertise and as you say, the fitting instructions are provided. Anyway, will have a crawl under tommorow and let you know the result.

Regards........John
