Side view mirrors
My side view mirrors won`t open all the way. I read the manual and saw how to operate it but to no avail. I`m guessing there is a fuse problem. The mirrors will operate as far as directionally but not rolling all the way out. Help again please!!!!!
The mirrors were designed to be used for either left hand or right hand drive discovery, only the glass is different. There are two places there mirror can snap to (manually, with your hand, from the outside) depending on whether you are driving from the left or the right. The driver's side should be in the closer in setting, and the passenger side in the further out setting.

That explains a lot. When I got mine, I couldn't adjust the drivers mirror to see to my liking unless I craned my neck into a position reminiscent of the previous owner: a petite woman. Then one day I noticed it folded in closer to the vehicle than the right hand mirror. It took a great deal of force to move it out; after all, I reasoned, it may have been there for 11 years. I wouldn't do it if I were you if it is 20 degrees outside like it is here.
Once I moved it out, I could adjust it perfectly.
Then again, you questioned fuses. I understand Japan destined vehicles had power folding mirrors.
Good luck!
