Does anyone have a ski rack on the 04 Disco? All of the pics that I have seen show it fitting onto the smaller rack on an 03, not on the large tubes that are only on the 04.

i have a ski rack on my '04 but its attached to the SD rack. I used to have the cross bars on my '00 and i attached a ski rack to the cross bars that attached to the rails on the disco roof.

i think if you were to get a ski rack for the 04 you will either have to get the cross bars that attach to the roof tubes. or i think either yakima or thule makes a whole system that attaches to the lip above the door (water gutter).

I know this post is late but maybe it can still help. I have an '04 and I use the Thule 450XT mounts with LB58's. The 450 can adjust to pretty much any side rail size, ie., caravan to Disco. I run the flat top 6 carrier and a couple of fork mount bike as well as a fairing for reducing wind noise. The only issue with running off the bars instead of the gutters is the narrow bar spread (meaning the distance between the front crossbar and rear). I need to place the skis so the front rack is in front of the front binding and the rear is in the middle, between the front and rear binding section. Not a huge deal but not ideal especially with binding plates, etc. Thule and I think Yakima as well make a fit kit and foot pack for gutter mount installation. A friend of mine also has an '04 Disco and uses that set-up. I prefer mine because I can move it back and fourth between vehicles with the 450. Hope that helps.
