Slipped Liner 4.6
Liners Pinned , so far no Issues..#7 cylinder slipped ...Did a Engine rebuild..with pinning ...all went well....Had a soft tick after break in ,turned out to be rocker shaft Oiling holes upside down, replaced Rockers and Shaft...Engine is Running Quite...Since this was done in the Spring of 2019..have added 8,000 miles...

Hi,
I am looking to pin my liners and wondering about how long this fix lasts. Not that much recent info on the longevity of the pinning fix. How is yours going? Also I could not find your photos in the gallery. Did you follow the set screw method 1/4" set screws with high temp Loctite?

Thanks I have found this guide as part of previous research and it is a good guide. I have a P38 and am planning on doing the job in the vehicle so need to remove the exhaust manifold, starter motor, mounts etc and use a right angle drill. Hopefully on my Right Hand Drive car I will not have any access issues on the RHS!
