Default SLS compressor usable as tire inflator?

Hey guys,
Got a quick question. Could the SLS air compressor be rigged to inflate tires? (Not dual functionality... just jerry-rigged to only inflate tires and such)

I have also heard that you can use the ARB compressor and then install and LR3 sport air tank as a great combo. The compressor installs in the same spot as the SLS compressor and then the tank is a long and skinny tube which can be mounted right behind the SLS compressor box to the frame. Has anyone done this?

I have had the same thought. PO removed the air bags and put on springs. I saw a post somewhere about an owner making it work, but I think the results were not acceptable without installing a tank. If you worry about DOT *****, the tank might be an issue.

Ya that's what I heard, but just curious if anyone had tried it and had any success...

They are made to run in cycles and the recovery time is too much for filling up tires. You would burn it up fast if you did try it and it would not get you out of the jam you were in needing air.
