Default Snorkel compatibility q

So I've been looking for a used D2 snorkel because they are so freakin expensive for awhile now, but to no luck. I did come across a seller from the UK on eBay that advertises a rather cheap kit for a D2 TD5. I emailed him to ask him if it might happen to work for the US gas version... he said he wasn't sure but that they worked fine for the gas UK version. He said the airbox is on the left hand side there too...

I was just wondering, if it is true that euro right hand drive discos still have thier airbox on the left sides, and second, are the TD5 and gas airbox's the same, so that this kit actually might work? Its $155 roughly after conversion plus shipping, which is a 3rd most kits ive seen out there, and half the cheap and ugly TJM ones.

anyone know for sure?

ARB lists the same part number for their Safari snorkel for either V8 or TD5.

LHD and RHD versions are identical, the only difference is where the steering wheel and pedals are.

It will be fine, but if it's the same seller I emailed with, which im assuming because of the price, they told me that with shipping it would be about $315

Someone should buy like 10 of them to get the shipping costs down and then sell them for like $250 each, shipped.

I'm still waiting for his response on that one... I'm guessings there has to be some snag... if not, I'll post the source and make him REALLY happy haha.

China's horrible with that BS, when I was looking for replacement body panel parts for my motorcycle, they wither existed in the UK or China only. It was rare to see them in the US, and the only other alternative was stealership order. UK would only be slightly less then stealership after shipping... but China had kits at a QUARTER of the price, even less then USED DAMAGED ones on eBay from US sellers. Then you'd look at thier shipping quote and it would be $250+ or $100 but 6-8 weeks shipping.
