Default To snorkel or not to snorkel

Ok, so the mechanic I bought my 'o3 from was going to add the mantec snorkel, the OEM air box was removed and all was replaced with classic round air filter box and hoses to fit the final metal snorkel. I am not certain if I should go thru with finishing this or go back to Original airbox.. I know how "cool" the snorkle looks, but I am more interested in performance and practicality as I build this truck.. what says you?

I think a snorkel does more than look cool and keep water out. Drawing in much cleaner air than the normal box does especially if you live in a dusty climate. I say finish it but then finding the rest with out re buying all the other stuff may prove to be difficult.

OK. I will delete my post, and you can delete your reply, before he sees either of them, and hopefully still get your reply from him!

Spike only needs the snorkel if his rig falls through the ice when he's ice fishing. I live in Louisiana and i can use it year round... LoL send it to me and I will put it to good use.
