Cool So a few questions...

So I've been doing some digging this weekend and noticed a few things ... hopefully someone here can answer some questions for me.

Why is the jack under the hood? Is this a foreign thing I'm not used to? Doesn't make sense to me...anyway (/rant)

there are two (plugs?) directly under the hood that appear to not connect to anything there's one on each side what are these?

There's an orange plug running next to the coolant resorvior I can't quite tell what it's running to but it's not plugged into anything and there doesn't appear to be anything for it to plug into. What is this?

The backdoor has been "iffy" I figured it was just a bolt needing tightening when I got it but now that I've looked it appears to be a stud ... the door hinge can simply slide right up off of it. Is something else supposed to hold it here?

Thanks for the advice/help guys!

Count yourself lucky... I had a Citroen with the spare wheel under the hood, on top of the engine.

The rear door:
That is the door check.. There is supposed to be a clip holding all of that on the stud, Mine is missing as well.

Plugs under the windscreen:
Definitely for the heated window. Mine are plugged in.. sadly I don't have the correct windscreen. po Was Was cheapass.

That's all I know. Kinda curious about the orange plug myself.

That would drive me insane and would be removed quickly

Thanks! Maybe I can find that clip somewhere online...if not I can find a way Should've guessed about the plugs I suppose. Orange plug is still a mystery I'll attempt to pull it out of the shroud of wires it's in and get a better idea tomorrow I suppose.

Thanks all!

Or you are supposed to have the heated window.. check the center of your dash.. ton the left of the climate controls. You may have 2 defrost switches. If you do, then you are supposed to have the heated glasd. maybe someone else can comment..

On the spare tire.. subaru used to do this in the old brats and gl cars. Really annoying when it came time for service.

I found the same plug next to my pressure tank. All my washers including headlamp are functional. That orange plug is not connected to anything.
