That sounds like a fair price on the rebuilt engine considering some of the prices on a used engine that is not rebuilt in the USA. At least you know what you are getting and starting from zero. Were you able to get the oil pan sealed up well with Ultra Black Permetex ATV silcon sealant. That is what I am trying this week. I've heard its good to put a bead on the bell housing where it mates on the front on the timing chain.

I've tried just like it says out of the book. Four silicon spots, with no luck. I even put a small beed through the area I am having trouble. It just finds one small spot to seep. It has always been on the front end. I even started pulling about the stuff around the timing cover to make sure that was no the culprit. Front right corner. When it comes off again, 2.5K miles, I am going to start looking for cracks on the pan. I'll figure it out sooner or later. more then likely I am just over thinking this and if I am carful it will be fine.

Default have you tried this

3M weather stripping to hold the gasket to the pan; Permatex #2 on top.

I would report that first shop to the Better Business Bureau.

Did Turner require your motor as a core?

Turner did not ask for a core return. The cost of shipping it back is more then the core is worth. They will buy back heads for a small value depending on the heads. It costs quite a bit to ship and it is a pain but you can get a few bucks.

I was just wondering after looking at their website.

Stupid question...but how does the currency exchange work when you're buying something overseas? Does the credit card company handle the exchange?
