What is plasti dipping versus just painting?

Plasti dip is a rubberized coating that can be peeled off. Paint is permanent.

I realize that this is off topic but do you paint the lug nuts or remove the caps and paint them black? Trying figure out what to do with black wheels and chrome lug nuts.

For best results, Remove rim. Tape off lugs nuts and place in hole. This way the lug will block the mating surface of the rim. If not, when you torque down the lug it will rip the Plasti-Dip coating.

Once wheel is done, remount and then add a thin layer of plastic dip over the lugs.

If you just go right over the lugs with the rim on the car, when you go to remove you will rip the coating off the lugs and the rim.

If you don't mind or are not planning on removing the wheels anytime soon, spray away. Just make sure you put some paper behind the wheel to stop the spray from getting on the brakes.

Great color that D2, Vienne green I do believe. Mine's exactly the same but a 2003 although initially we saw it under floodlights at the main LR dealers and thought it was metallic silver but now prefer the Vienne green.

My new 04' is Vienna Green, with an olive color dash and door panels. The leather is a grey/olive color.

I have never seen it, is yours that color?
