I'm leaving this forum and have deleted all my work in this thread.

 

I dont have an exhuast leak but occassionally the pump turns on for no apparent reason while comming to a stop, usually just kicks on for a second then off, or just pull forward a bit and it goes off. I attribute it to an unknown wiring issue somewhere. my old pump did it, the new one does too. from time to time i jiggle all the wiring around under the hood and various symptoms go away, some new ones appear lol. my biggest one was the rear harness t connector on the passenger side, some wires in there were rubbing or grounding on one another so bad i had popped fuses and all sorts of engine codes appear. jiggling the wires and opening the t connector solved the problems for over a year and a half before i had to jiggle them again haha
