Default Some help needed

Hi, I've been to the dealer and they've told me that a thing with this part number has to be replaced - LHG100580 (I'm not a native speaker and don't know what is this part called in english).

The car has only 70k km, could it be possible that at so low mileage that part would need replacing?

The car is 2001 TD5 Disco, automatic gearbox.

A harmonic balancer (main pulley) is an expensive part, hundreds of dollars US, available oem or aftermarket. See Crankshaft Damper DEF & DS2 - Land Rover Part LHG100580 .

We don't have many TD5, so I'm not sure if that's a common failure or not. I'd recommend for you to go to Discovery 2 - Australian Land Rover Owners and ask them. They have a lot more TD5 drivers.
