Default Source for rain gutter/drip rail finishers

I’m missing all 4 drip rail/rain gutter finishers on my d2. They go for about $90 each on eBay/and I’m guessing it’ll be tough pulling this off a junkyard car (glued?). Is there a better/cheaper source?

Has anyone attempted 3D printing these, I’ve found a thread with the model. I’m not going to spend 300+ on plastic trim, so hopefully there’s a cheaper route.

Some useful info here, but looking for someone who’s successfully mounted some 3d printed ones on their d2.

I think they're easy to remove, my friend pulled them off my parts truck in a few mins.

As Jacob mentioned... easy to remove. Bit of a pain getting them back under the A-pillar cover but it's doable. Plus add sealant around it to stop leaks (I had to do this).
Check your local recycle/auto junk yard for them... $2 a piece..

The old ones will have hard, brittle plastic and you'll probably break them off. You can get them 3-D printed, as models exist. I bought mine for $90, warmed them up with a hair dryer and put them on when it was warm outside.

Exactly what I was looking for. Mind sharing some info about the process.
  1. Did you spray them with a primer spray paint to get a smooth finish?
  2. What print settings did you use?
  3. pla or abs?
