Default Space in Rear of Td5 Disco II

Hi All,

After owning an Disco 1 R Reg rustbucket of a disco up until a couple of years ago, and missing it dreadfully, we have decided to get a Disco II Td5.

But we were wondering, does anyone know if it is possible to get a mattress in the rear. We were also planning on buying a van to tour around in, and stop as and when, but suddenly thought is a Td5 large enough to suit what we need it for.

I have looked everywhere for the actual measurements and I cannot find them anywhere. I think we will probably have to take the seats out just leaving the drivers and front passenger seats. Is this easy to do in a Td5?

Any help gratefully accepted

A TD5 is the best move you'll ever make in D2's as they are a bomb proof engine (famous last words ). However, even with the second row seats tilted forwards you won't get a 6' matress lying flat in the load area. You will need to remove the 2nd row seats to achieve that. I'll measure the D2 (TD5 ) today and post the length and width available in the load area.
