I'm interested in getting more lift on my Disco II and came upon the Rovers North 2" spacers and a different style spacer by Rovertym.

The Rovertym spacers state that the Disco II spacers are only available for the front and in 1". Will the Disco I spacers work on a Disco II? Also, the Rovers North spacers are of a completely different style (and consequently compatible with either Disco I or II). Anybody have an opinion on their functionality vs. Rovertym? There is also a pretty significant price difference between the two and if the Rovers North spacers are comparable they would amount to a significant savings.

Have you already installed new springs and shocks? If not I would not suggest your raising your tired sagging suspension by adding spacers, all you will accomplish is getting a little more top heavy leaning more on every curve.

Yes, I have an upgraded suspension, and no, I'm not afraid of losing stability in cornering (my Disco isn't currently purpose built for high performance on-road driving).The utility of the spacers is not in question; the difference in make and cross-platform compatibility is what I was asking about. The sad aftermarket for Disco II's vs. Disco I's is what prompted this thread... Does anyone know if these spacers are cross-compatible?

I build a custom lift for my Disco I using Aluminum round stock. I also looked at the Disco II set up when I did this. The two are similar, but not compatible. When I was researching this, I e-mailed a guy who was selling 2" lifts for Discos in eBay. Very nice guy. He built the lifts in the garage, but he builds a quality lift (todd@toddcosuspensions.comor webpage http://www.toddcosuspensions.com/). The webpage has some pix of his spacers.
