Spark Plugs for 2003 S7
I recently heard people talking about which spark plug works best. I am using NGK G-Power Platiunm, but I had choices on Champion double platinumand Basch Platiunm Plus 4 plugs. Which one among those works the best for a 2003 S7 with 73K miles? Thanks!
You are using one of the three or four best plugs on the market, doesn't make any difference the year or mileage on your truck.
What will make a difference is at your mileage, if you haven't replaced your plug wires, they are holding you back.
You would be wise to install a set of 8 mm Magnacor plug wires to enchance the voltage for your plugs.

Thanks a lot, Mike.
Other than Magnacor, do you have any other brand to recommend? I have a set of STI wires from Karlyn Industry. Don't know if they are good or not on a Land Rover? Thanks!
just so you know that I am working on the wires, it's just so hard to get the access to the coil end...

Everybody recommends the Magnacor wires because they know that they will work on a LR. Some wires just will not hold up, some have put new wires on and had to replace them again less than a month later.
As for spark plugs, each to their own, I use Denso Iridium plugs in my DI.

I just threw in a set of magnecor 8mm and bosch fusions. No problems at all. Shes more responsive and just runs a bit better, though my old wires were sizzled and the engine ran like crap before the change (due to the burnt up factory wires).
I good fuel cleaner (Chemtool B12) and an engine flush (ATF) may help. If not it will at least clean the engine out. Replacing the PCV valve is also a good cheap item to replace.

Pete
