Default Speakers.... help

My 2000 Disco II's stock speakers are done.
I need to replace the speakers, I already have an aftermarket head unit but nothing else has been done to the sound system. Mine's Harman Kardon.
If anyone has ever replaced their speakers with aftermarket parts, can you recommend me something? And I am planning on replacing all the speakers (front and rear door) (except maybe for the subwoofer in the trunk door) and eventually get a new amp (a lil later).
thxx

Default RE: Speakers.... help

I just replaced all of mine (1994 Discovery Series I).....

I used Blaupunkt 4" GT Series all the way around...Fit perfect = $37 for both pairs cash at
the local Swap shop LOL!

For the rear gate subs I did the Walmart Box Trick = $15 plus parts
Went and bought the Roadmaster sub box with the tweeters
Took the 6" drivers out and transplanted them into the factory housing.

Only caveat is that the new subs do not have the mounting hole for the amp so I had to panel bond the factory amp to the back gate (LOL).....

Sounds great and I spent $55 on all of it including parts

Yes I know budget but my other truck (Silverado has all Alpine and PPI and Boston)
This is the daily driver

Speaker are a personal preference. You need to go to a good radio shop and listen to the differences and then pick from there, don't pick new speakers based on the size and fit requirements.
