Spring Retainers needed.... maybe??
I installed the Terrafirma 2" spring and shock package a few weeks back.
This weekend I went "wheeling" and got into some trails that incurred "wheels lifted" situations.
I heard same clanking noises. I am quite certain it was the coil springs un-seating and then seating back in.
Do I need spring retainers with the TF 2" kit?
If I need them, can they be installed without removing shocks and springs on the front and springs on the back?
That would suck to pop out a spring...

Retainers or cones. Pick your poison. If you go retainers make sure they are heavy duty. I've bent way too many thin gauge steel retainers. The stock ones suck. they get folded into a U shape.
These work very well.

It sure does seem like springs could pop out pretty easy without them, especially with sways disconnected. I went with the TF retainers.
Pretty painless to install, you can unbolt the shock at the bottom, pull the shock up an inch or so, insert through the spring retainer, bolt down. Need to be lifted in the the air by the frame of course

Yes. The rears for sure, the fronts might need a little more articulation to unseat.
Sounds good. I will look into adding them to the rear. I looked under there yesterday and it does look like the spring could easily pop out if pushed too hard.
