Default Srs light

I tried to search for this but found nothing..anyone tell me what the srs light on my dash is and what it relates to?

it relates to the airbags. supplemental restraint system. If your seatbelt switch has problems, or if you have a low voltage situation-like unplugging your battery, this fault will arise. It can only be cleared by a Rover scanner

SRS is the air bag system in your dash.
Have you been having any battery/low voltage issues, if so this can cause what you are describing. Also the manufactures suggest that the system be inspected when 10 years old to prevent any problems.

no low voltage problems that I have noticed and it was on when I bought her. I'll have to get it checked out then soon. thanks guys

some people disconnect the battery trying to clear a CEL code. This is exactly why it is not recommended... But you may actaully have a fault. I would get it in and have it checked out. $50 is better than having one pop in your face...... or worse... not popping at all

The good news is, they won't trigger on their own, the bad news is they may not trigger when you need them too, especially on a 14 year old system.
