I use these military spec battery clamps and covers.

My fix cost me a whole penny.

I bent a penny and stuck it in between the post and the clamp. Been there since, no corrosion, no electrical issues. Nice and tight.

Hahahaha, she didn't says dimes or dollars!!!

A dime is thinner though lol.

If anyone wants some of those military style battery connectors, PM me, I have a couple.

I used to shim mine with a toothpick. I've since squeezed the clamp with Vise Grips to deform it just enough so that it now clamps tightly.

Another option that works well are Battery Post Shims. They only cost about $2 at any auto parts store.
