Default steel spare wheel ?'s

im looking to go to a set of steel wheels don't wanna spend to much money, just bought a lift and some trxus 235/85's. i was wondering if anyone has luck using steel spare wheels they are the same size as the alloy's but alot more hefty. i cant seem to find a good source to purchse them 4 at a time...

i think the RR classics have similar steel spare wheels and they are readily avalible on roverland parts anyone kno for sure?

same backspacing or what ive never even seen a steel spare for RR's only alloy's

heres the link:

If I am not mistaken, the spare steel wheel is pretty narrow, but then again, if you are running 235's, you may be OK.

As far as I know the RRC wheel is the exact same as the DI.
Since the RRC and DI use the same axles I think it is safe to assume that the off set would be the same.
It makes no sense that a RRC steel wheel is $50 but a DI steel wheel is $60.
I have been thinking about doing the same thing, set of 4 steel wheels painted flat black on my white truck.
Post pics once you get it done.

thanks yea i am sure the steel spares are the same fitment, just wondering what the steel spares on the RR look like.

the steel spare on the DI is like a flat 5 star , anyone seen a steelie spare for a RR classic? any pics or links i cant seem to find any

oh and the wheels are both 16x7" same as alloy's so should fit nice

I dont have any pics or links to a RRC steelie, but I have my steel spare on my DI for almost a month now while I wait to get my new tires and it is the exact same size as the alloys.
I think that if you use 4 RRC steels then you will be good as they will all match, throw a tire cover over the spare and who will know?
