Question Steering fluid cooling pipe route ?

The steering pump outlet pipe goes towards the front and loops? before entering the steering gearbox ?
Is such shown on any shop manual picture/drawing ?

Yes, it snakes under the radiator. Looks like a long stretched out horseshoe. What exactly are you looking for? What's involved with removal / replacement?

That long narrow horseshoe is actually serves as the cooler for the power steering.

Trying everywhere after cleaning with degreaser to pinpoint a fluid leak. Pump is noisy, foamy reservoir. Suspect so far is the pump intake hose.

Check the hard line. It is prone to leaking. I had a micro crack around the flared section that goes in to the steering box. I replaced the o-rings multiple times only to find out the line was cracked.
I ended up replacing the "horseshoe" cooler hose with a spare from my donor truck.

My guess is the pump itself. Mine was leaking and groaning. Got one from O'Reilly, leak gone, groan gone. I thought it was intake hose, but pump was leaking onto hose and dripping down.

The hose ordered last week arrived. Went to a shop, replaced. No more leak nor groan, am happy so far...
Seems a crack in it sucked air when running causing the noise. When stopped, leaked.
