Default steering linkage

Ok here is another dumb question from a new disco owner..Iam looking at the underneath of the car and notice that on the driver side it appears that there is only one attachment point to the steering linkage however on the passenger side there are two points. Now there are two points offered on the driver side yet there is only one arm ? what gives?

Happy new year !

For all I know that is the difference between Right Hand Drive and Left Hand Drive.
