I honestly have no idea, I haven't had the chance to compare the two, I just know the innards are different.

Default new PAS pump is DOA

Just talked with the technician at LR and the brand new pump from Miami British is DOA. Planning on getting them on the phone this afternoon to get one to me ASAP.

I got a new pump from Miami British on Ebay and it turned out to have a leak. I returned it for a refund and went somewhere else to buy a pump. I think that they might be selling rebuilt pumps or there supplier is making a junk product.

i "believe" I remember reading that the pumps that MB sell are rebuilt by the same company as Lucky8 uses. (maybe britpart?) but apparently they offer two different quality's of rebuilds thus the difference in price.
personally I would go with a used one, way, way to many story about bad rebuilt steering pumps out there.

I say bite the bullet and buy the LR oem one. Its lasted over 10 years, a new one should last another 10, seems fair enough imo.
