Default stereo install with whining noise question

Hey guys, I read up on this and found theres inline noise reducers out there but was curious if there is a issue with the wiring or deck? I installed a stereo and have a lot of feed back sounds. Mostly the whining noise while accelerating. Thanks for any tips!

A lot of times that is due to a bad ground. What did you ground to? Remember, the OEM deck actually grounds to the frame thru the mounting bracket.

I had to install some to get rid of the whine; I probably went overkill and it did affect the sound quality a little bit, but there are no actual issues with wiring or functionality.

Hmmm, I actually just wired up the harness. No grounding beyond that. I used a wire harness that has a female end for the oem plugs and then wired it to the aftermarkets harness. Should I run a ground from the ground wires to the vehicle?

I tried adding grounding to the chassis of the head unit, the mounting frame for the head, and from the ground wire in the harness to the firewall. I also added extra grounding from the engine block and the alternator to the vehicle chassis. None of it made a difference, but these things tend to be particular to each individual vehicle.

and I bet the adapter that mounts your new headset to the factory spot is made out of some sort of plastic. Correct? If so, I would make a careful cut (where you can reconnect if my suggestion does not work) in the ground wire and take it to the frame somewhere. Usually as close to the head unit as possible so that noises can't "Jump" on the wire.

I put a complete rebuild in my daughters D2, including building a badass subwoofer in the factory spot, JBL Sound Processor, Kenwood amp, 6 1/2 mid base drivers in the front doors, and infinity speakers (I think) in all other factory spots, and finally Grom Audio device for blutooth streaming and USB hookup.

I did not install a single noise reducer. Noise comes thru the ground. Just ground every component as close to the the device as possible.

No. I have a cheap Chinese Joying Android-based unit. It doesn't produce any hum or buzz in three other vehicles, but it did in the Rover until I added filters.
