Stereo issue; amp but no Harmon?
So in a previous thread I asked "do I have harmon Kardon" since that requires a different wiring harness. It was determined I do not sonce I don't see the words "harmon kardon" anywhere on my speakers or stereo.
So I ordered up the standard harness. I am now doing my test install after soldering it all up. But I am getting NO audio output.
I notice there is a whole third wiring harness going in to my stereo that looks suspiciously like the rca connector from the harmon kardon harness would fit in to it.
this is the harmon connector
I have something that I would assume is an amplifier under my drivers seat. Sooooo, I ask again, "do I have the Harmon system" and therefore need the harmon harness? It would certainly stand to reason as to why I have power but no sound.
I'll get pictures of my setup here in a bit.

on the high-line HK system, I pretty sure the speakers say Phillips on them.
Do you have 2 speakers in the front door and a tweeter in the A-pillar? Do you have the sub-box in the back? Do you have a cassette player with CD changer under the front seat?
If you said yes to all of that, you have a HK deck!

It looks like this one
I don't see any name badging anywhere on anything.
I did some more digging did the pin swap to the remote amp on pin. That did make it function, except now I know I have the wrong connector and need the one with the RCA inputs since I am putting high power output of my stereo in to the low power input of the amplifier. Guess I get to do more soldering. Sigh.
Everyone said there are labels on speakers that say Harman; I still have no labels anywhere that say that.
Thanks for all the help, I sure wish I didn't have to do this twice. Glad I figured out my problem though.
So I have an unmarked Harman system it would seem. I guess we all learned something today.
