Default Still vibrating

Whats left? My 2001 Disc 2 has 110,000 miles on it and I can not find why it vibrates. Tires are good, rear roto flex is good. I've tried 3 different front shafts but I get the same vibration? The truck drives nice and smooth with the front shaft removed and cdl locked. I've replaced the front out put shaft bearing, output flange, nylon nuts and felt washer all with new. The current front shaft has had the balance checked twice? Whats left?

Where is it vibrating? Through the body or through the steering wheel?

Check your motor and trans mounts, if you feel it in the steering wheel check your steering dampener.

Drive shaft needs to go to a drive line shop which will spin it up to a high rpm.

Or your front diff is wonky.
Can you grab the input of the front diff and can you try to move it even 1mm or less up and down?

Any play in the front diff input?

You need some pros on the drive shaft like these guys.

i feel your pain. going through this now. i blame some of the vibration on tires being old and crummy. not bald, but just crummy.

Take a look at the weights on your wheels. Recently had my new wheels and tires mounted and balanced and a month later all the weights on the front driver wheel fell off! LR mechanic says this can certainly cause a minor vibration at highway speeds. Worth looking into. Good luck.

OP states that the vibration is not present when the front driveshaft is removed. That leads me to believe that the issue is limited to the driveshaft or the differential, as it isn't present when driving down the road without the driveshaft in place...

It seems like wheel imbalance would be present regardless of the driveshaft being in place or not. Hub related vibration would also be present either way as well.

I'm wondering, based on the fact that the OP states that different driveshafts have been tried, if the vehicle is lifted and that lift is causing some type of binding in the U-Joints that is causing the vibration.

That is a good point.
How much if any lift does it have?

I've got $5 on transfer case and $15 on front diff.
