TIP: Never chuck away any D2 parts unless they are broken as you never know when they might be needed again. D2's are getting rarer now!

With Bluetooth options for the factory head unit (i.e. Grom Audio) the CD changer is probably obsolete (practically speaking) but there are guys on here from time to time who need to replace the head unit but who are perfectly happy or prefer to keep it stock.

I have seen more pictures of Jay's toes in the last month than I wish.

Although I have my stock head unit and CD changer...I am one of those nuts that likes OEM over new fancy stuff. I would say stick them in a box and hang onto it unless you have no room in the garage.

In truth I'm one of the boring guys who keeps my D2 standard, it sports the original LR head unit with the six pack CD changer. It's the second head unit, the same one fitted to the Freelander , they seem to have a problem ejecting the satnav CD's. I have to be honest, I'm a bit of a lemming, the head unit is great apart from the ancient satnav on a 2003 CD, unfortunately the final Navtec one ever sold for the head unit.

When I go most places I use a small Garmin satnav, it's more up to date and the updates are 'free'

Well nickman got it first. I always keep a spare and this is a spare...spare. I never used the cd changer and figured somebody else could use it to get theirs how they want it
