Exclamation STOLEN: 2004 Discovery II in Houston Texas (RoverTym everything and 32" BFG)

Someone stole my truck last night from in front of my house in the Houston heights.

Who: No idea- I didn't see them do it. I heard the truck rev up and down 3 times before I realized it wasn't a dream and it clicked that it was my truck making the noise.

What: 2004 Discovery Series II (pictures attached) license plate number 19V-VF9 there was a Gadsden Flag (Dont Tread on Me) sticker on the back under the ladder.

Where: Stolen from the Houston Heights right by Proctor Plaza Park

When: At 3:19AM 12/13/2011

How: With some dirty thief hands who had no idea what it is worth (all dented and scratched from the trails, a failing vicious fan clutch that I was planning on changing this weekend, and countless hours under the hood)

This is like losing a friend, or at least a very very good dog. Please spread the word. I would do the same for you.

Information: If you have any idea where it is or if you see something fishy like RTE parts coming out of Houston DONT HESITATE TO CALL, if your information leads to the truck I will pay you $1000.00

Brian

Sorry to hear that man, I'm nowhere near your area now, but I will be in Dallas in a week or so. I'll keep my eyes open. How did he actually get the thing started? The security system on these things is such a pain I sometimes have trouble with it.

Very nice Rover. I'm sorry to hear about this.

I'm just a few streets away from this location. I will keep a lookout for the truck and/or parts (hopefully not).

Damn that sucks! Th I'm guessing the doors were unlocked? The alarm should've triggered as soon as the door was opened?

Keep your eyes on Craigslist.

Sorry to hear this, I hate people that steal from others. I'm far away from you, but keep posting this on the forums and any other info. possible to help identify the vehicles or parts. Maybe a Rover fan will see something and be able to tip you off. Given that you mention it's beat up from off-roading, and not a typical vehicle that would normally be targeted - could it be an off road enthusiast or someone who knows about parting vehicles out???? Good luck and I hope you find it.

That sucks.
At least insurance will cover it.

Unfortunately if it's just insured as a standard old Discovery, he won't receive back any of the parts/upgrades he's put into it, not to mention the time and labor. On cars in the past I have modified extensively I always let the insurance company know about them. My old Miata surely had more money put into it than I paid for the car itself.

With it being so distinguishable, hopefully the police will have a better chance of recovering it.
