Default Storage boxes for roof rack

I currently own a large Pelican case and feel like it is the gold standard for cases. Operative word being "gold". I'm looking for suitable storage cases to put some light items on the roof rack. Are Frontrunner Wolfpacks waterproof? Is there something better than won't break the bank? Thinking of getting three Wolfpacks and keeping them inside the vehicle and transferring everything from the Pelican that I can and just using that up top. My Pelican is the large Storm Case and is great. Looking for suggestions. Thanks.

Plano Sportsmen cases, add the D shaped door seal from the window/door section in Lowes or HD.
Cheap, waterproof, lightweight.

as somebody who works on stage for a living, Pelican cases are the gold standard for a reason. They really take abuse well and never complain about it.

I know. They are incredible. I was kind of joking around. I plan on purchasing a Petromax lantern and accessories. That will definitely go in a Pelican with foam cutouts. Not sure canned soup needs that kind of protection. I think I've come to a solution. I'm going to divide my gear into three main parts. One will have canned foods and other items that won't go bad. The second will have camp stove and kitchen stuff. Both of those will go in Plano cases inside the vehicle although I will still waterproof them. The third will consist of recovery gear, portable air compressor, comprehensive first aid kit and survival gear. That will go on the roof rack (it's heavy, I know) and will be marked with orange tape indicating emergency supplies. That is the plan. Thanks to the gentleman who referred me to the Plano cases.

I use the larger 120MM Mortar Ammo Cans which normally go for like 20.00 each. Nice gasket seal on them and decent enough size to stuff all kinds of things into.

Look at the Apache cases at Harbor Freight.
