Default Storing D2 for several months

Is there anything to know or do if you plan on not using a D2 for 3-4 months?

Does the Disco go into some kind of security mode that disables the car if not used for a while?

I had to do this when I would deploy for longer than 3 months...
Keep the fuel tank full.
Put all 4 wheels up on jack stands.
Lock all the doors with the key then disconnect the battery at the negative post.
About every other month, have someone you trust reconnect the battery and start up the truck for 10-15 minutes. Slowly pump the brakes 5x to actuate the braking system. While having a foot on the brake, slowly work through all the gears. Shut down truck, lock door with key and disconnect battery at negative post.
A bonus is to trickle charge the battery every other month.

I would recommend a battery tender - put extra air in the tires 40lbs - tank full with STA-Bil fuel stabilizer - keep it unlocked - if only a few months - don't start during the time

Don't have anyone start the car and run it for a few minutes during storage - actually worse than not starting at all - just drive it when you get back

Toss a big gel moisture capture bag in before you go, helps with any musty smells if you are in a damp area

Not sure if mice would be an issue. But I used to drop paper towels on the floorboards of my BMW 2002 when stored. For one it would let me know if mice moved in and two give them something else to chew up and build a nest with instead of seats and wiring.

Yeah I was thinking of rodents too. Peppermint is supposed to be a natural repellent and someone told me of a sonic device that plugs into the cigarette lighter though I never noticed if the disco even has one. I have heard of dead mice ruining cars because the smell couldn’t be gotten rid of.

Is there anything to know about the Disco becoming immobilized from inactive use? What activates the lockout where the car is immobilized and requires a code? (EKU or whatever?)
