Default Strange bang

Was out in the city heading for the country and as I accelerated hard, I thought I heard and felt a bang in the rear.
i stoped and took off again and felt heard it, it’s a decent bang, I first stopped and checked tyres they are all ok, I’m not sure how you check a driveshaft but I crawled under grabbed each end and pushed up and down then side to side, I felt no play .
im guessing diff ?
or could it be auto trans ?

Do you feel any new vibrations at any speeds? I recently broke my engine and transmission mounts abruptly and it was pretty noticeable bang. While it felt further back to me, the bang itself came from the passenger side engine mount.

Good luck, these are worth checking closely with a flashlight in any case.

check your drop links, if they break they will just go back together you cant see the ball joint is separated until you jack up the car on one side, I only saw mine as I removed the shocker and had to lower the axle to replace the lower bolt on the shocker

Might have to take it into a shop, the bang has stopped , when I hit 40-50k on some roads the truck body swings from side to side, faster and slower it’s fine , one weird sensation

I think frostythor was onto something with the drag link. When I bent mine it had me jerking across my lane on the highway randomly like I was drunk. Ruts on the road make it much worse. You can definitely do the repair yourself if you do your research!

Try to take it in for an alignment, usually if it's bad they won't do it. If it is a drag link or any other part in that region, get an alignment after your change it out.
