Strange Headlight Problem
I just noticed last night that if I only turn on my parking lights, then my passenger side (right) headlight comes on at a very low illumination. The driver's side does not. It does not change if I turn on the factory driving lights and the normal low and high beams work just fine.
Anybody else ever had this happen?
Thanks
Rob

Those are your "city" lights, one of them is burnt out.
There is a peanut bulb that goes in there, remove your headlight bulb and you will see it, replace it and you will be good to go.
Apparently in England in come villages it is illegal to have your head lights on, so they have these "city" lights instead, people can see you but you dont shine your head lights into peoples living room windows.

European cities are lit well enough that headlights are not necessary but the city lights are there so you can still be seen. They figured that headlights shining in windows is a nuisance.
Look for a 168 or 194 LED bulb for your city lights. They give off a cool bluish light (similar color to 6000k HIDs), draw half the power of a standard bulb and last at least twice as long.

my drivers side goes out sometimes, in my case it is just a loose connection a tap on the hood right above it or the headlight itself usually takes care of it. not a big deal though, they are just city lights as explained above, not really something to worry too much about.
Cuz I would have forgotten to look or ask. I did look once I retook possession of the truck, and while it does look like there's a place for a "city light" in the low beam enclosure, nothing lights up with just the parking lights on.
