stripped bolt on manifold
so, noticed an exhaust leak on my new2me d2. upon inspection, found that the low bolt at the back of the rhside was loose. then realized the threads are gone. COMPLETELY. so, in you opinion, what is the best course of action? my plan A is tap out larger thread diameter and tighten with new bolt. is that cool? or do you wizards have better advise?
thank you, much

I have always used a thread insert like a helicoil they hold really good and you can then use the correct bolt. I had to do it to one of the head bolts on my d1 and held for 50k miles and still going strong. The vintage Porsche community swears by them for the magnesium block of the old 911 and have used them a bunch of times rebuilding old 911 engines. They are easy to use and you can get them at just about any hardware store
