Default Stuck Differential

I was out and about today in my 98' Disco I and decided to take her offroad a little and see if she'd start to grow on me again (as I've had issues with her in the past). While attempting to engage the differential into low I was only met with resistance. No matter what I tried it just wouldn't budge. As this was my first attempt at engaging this I'm hoping it may just be corroded from lack of use.

Has anyone else had similar issues and if so, is it an easy thing to remedy?

Common problem. Use it or lose it. Once a month run it through the gears to keep it working.
