Default Stupid Question

Ready to install HG, but temp's are now low (under 10) and my disco is outside (i.e. not in a garage). Will low outside temp impact installation? Wondering if I should wait until spring to finish the job

Under 10 Fahrenheit? The engine might be okay, but your fingers? Personally I’d wait for warmer weather unless I needed the vehicle desperately.

@Harvlr Yep, under 10 F. The upper engine is dismantled and wrapped under many tarps. Wondering if there are any considerations to winterize the vehicle while it sits waiting for warmer weather? I drained the oil today.

I would spray the exposed surfaces with some WD40 to prevent rust from condensate or the occasional daytime high over 32.

I would seriously consider one of the <$100 wedding awnings on that jungle site. Put one of those around it and fire up a heater inside and enjoy the 40-50° temps.
