Default Suggestions for a reasonable aftermarket front bumper?

Hi all,

As you can see below my 2000 Disco II has a broken nose, and it has been that way since ex-wife decided to try to push a railroad transport van through an intersection, several years ago.

I want to find a front bumper that is reasonably priced, not extraordinarily heavy (though I do have MD springs), and I am not really picky about how it looks, though prettier is obviously better. I will admit that I do not go offroad except to hop curbs occasionally, but I like to look like I do. There are maybe six land rovers (D1's and D2's) within an hour drive of my home so people here think they are some exotic, rare, Brit jeep. A stock bumper, even used, strikes me as too pricey for what you get. Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced front bumper? Preferably one that will accommodate some sort of fog light (I have stock lights but I would like to get better ones).

As you can see I had to cut mine a little for the tires (which was no big deal since it was already a goner), which led to removing the plastic fake rock sliders and a tiny bit of trimming on the back, so something that doesn't go quite so low and quite so far around the side as a stock bumper would be desirable. I can probably figure out how to move the washer reservoir if the need arises.

Thanks,

Charlie V

ARB Sahara winch bumper or another OEM replacement would be the only 2 options I'd consider, but I'm not reasonable!

That is VERY nice. Wow!

I googled it immediately. Sadly it doesn't exist for the 2000 Disco II... that is for 03/04.

I'd also have to sell a kidney.

Have to say those 18's look nice.

My philosophy is to get BETTER for OEM prices... but reasonable to me on the bumper is about a thousand with shipping. I've noted your bumper (BETTER THAN ARB, it appears), but I am concerned about weight since I already have 33 inch tires and medium duty springs...

Maybe something like this... but I really don't need the brush guard, and I have no idea how heavy this world be. I think it is TJM.

Mike I know you have written on bumpers before and it is all a jumble to me now, but I really just want something that is not gaudy or heavy. I don't need a winch.

TF was one that retails around $650 or so just got one delivered but haven't felt good enough to install it yet. Comes with a washer bottle protection plate and swivel tow hooks.

if you have questions or need better pix drop me a line.

I see your in Tx. the one build by all south fabricators in Al. is a nice bumper for the money like $350,
I just could not get it to Boston for a reasonable price to heavy.

First of all, I made that bumper 11 years ago, it is not an ARB.
Have you considered having a welder design and make a bumper for you? If you want some ideas, PM me your number and I'll be glad to talk you thru some ideas.

I checked out TF but those are shipped from England, aren't they? Do you have the TF009? The website didn't show prices so I'm assuming I would have to order it elsewhere....
