I really really like the Rustolium truck bed spray. It has lasted now for 3 years, Not faded, has texture to it. I also used it on my home made bumper. easy to respray. I tented the entire Rover. Used painters tape to mask everything off. I'll search the link and post below. I swear by this stuff. I have probably have bought over 15 cans for various project. Harbor Freight has the best deals when its on sale. Tuff as nails.

Another vote for the bed liner spray...adds a nice texture if you like that.
Strong enough coat for a truck bed, I figured it would be great for a fender flare...and I was correct. Still looks as fresh as when I did it over a year ago and hard as nails.
Unless you want to match the paint to the truck, I vote for bed liner paint.

Is the sanding process necessary or AS necessary if you are using bed-liner paint?

Here is a pretty good write up of someone painting their flares. It might be useful.

Lasts a few months but is very easy to reapply. No taping for overspray... ever.
I was going to paint mine but had an old Kiwi container in a closet, so I figured it'd be worth a shot.

Worked perfectly.

After I taped off.. I lightly sanded and wiped with alcohol... put about a minute worth of sanding in on each flare. Just enough to knock off all the wax or other contaminants

If it were me I'd use SEM products... preferably the satin black. It looks very OEM and works great. Their whole line can be seen on their website and its professional quality stuff. Good products= good results.

+1 on the plastidip. I actually sprayed mine this morning. Extremely happy with the outcome. A couple coats, and good as new. Highly recommended.
