Default Sunroof Quit

Today when I tried to open the sunroofs, I pushed the button and opened the front perfectly fine. When I went to open the rear, that is when the problem occurred. I pressed the button a loud almost grinding noise came from what I think was the ECU and then neither sunroof responds with the buttons. When I press the button the ECU does not even make the clicking noise that it usually does when a switch is pressed, leading me to believe it is the ECU. Does anyone have any suggestions or can confirm this before I tear the headliner down.

Check the fuse for the sunroofs. Fuse 12. See page 6.1 in the rave elect library.

it's my understanding that the sunroofs also close manually with a 4mm allen hex, behind the rectangular plastic tabs near the sunroof switches.

Yes mine does have this option but I would have to drop the whole headliner to do this while I think I can get to the ECU through the switch panel. I am trying to avoid taking the headliner down since I just had it out 3 days ago to fix the leaky sunroof drains.
