Hi All-

I have a 99 Disco Series II. Lately, when I turn off the engine I hear 3 or 4 short burts of some type of pump turning on and off under the car. It sounds like an air pump and then it stops. I thought it was the air suspension making an odd noise, but when I open the drivers door and then close it, it makes to normal air suspension hiss to let the air put. Does anyone have any idea what this pump sound might be??

it is only whae you turn it off or on? You should hear fuel pump when you turn key on and it should build pressure then stop.
