Default suspension update.

I have a 2000 disco II in mint condition. I am going to put knew shocks in, the terra firma medium load with all knew mounting hardware and the terra firma steering stabilizer. Should I change out the springs to knew as well or are the originals ok. . No lift. Are going with the new shocks enough. Never use it for offroading just a daily driver since purchased knew. Thanks for all the advice. This forum is the most amazing place for info.

Only you would know, or an expert... Depends on the miles on your truck. At some point the original springs start sagging. If you put new shocks on sagged springs you'll just ruin the shocks prematurely as they will have to work harder.

A measurement taken from the center of the wheel to the top of the wheel well arch will tell you if your springs have sagged. If I recall correctly stock should be 19" +/- .5

I changed out my shocks a couple of years ago with OME Nitro Charger. I'm still running my OE spring in front, but have SLS air springs in back.

If you are happy with the spring function and if they're not sagged too far I wouldn't see why you would change them. Shocks wear out far quicker than springs.

Here are the factory Heights from the RAVE
FRONT
Nominal height from hub centre to wheel arch (not
liner)*
500 ± 15 mm (19.7 ± 0.6 in)
Front road spring colour codes:
⇒ V8 LHS Pink/orange
⇒ V8 RHS - LHD Pink/orange
⇒ V8 RHS - RHD White/purple
⇒ Td5 LHS White/purple
⇒ Td5 RHS - LHD White/purple
⇒ Td5 RHS - RHD White/purple
Rear road spring colour codes:
5 seat, LHS Purple
5 seat, RHS - LHD Purple
5 seat, RHS - RHD Purple/purple
7 seat, LHS - LHD Grey/blue
7 seat, LHS - RHD Grey/green
7 seat, RHS - LHD Grey/blue
7 seat, RHS - RHD Grey/white
Bump stop height (top of bump stop to axle bracket) 44.5 mm (1.75 in)
REAR
Nominal height from hub centre to wheel arch (not
liner):*
⇒ Coil spring 483 ± 15 mm (19.0 ± 0.6 in)
⇒ Air spring 473 ± 15 mm (18.6 ± 0.6 in)
Road spring colour code Purple (all models)
Bump stop height (top of bump stop to axle bracket):
⇒ Coil spring 71.5 mm (2.8 in)

I also have a 2000discoII in mint condition. I'm experiencing suspension issues. When I hit a bump when driving my rear end drops. I engage the button for the rear end riser and then it will fill up and go back to its normal position. Does anyone have any recommendations?

A rear coil conversion is a common modification.
Or, if you want to keep your air ride, you need to find the leak and replace parts.

If it holds the air without leaking when parked, do you think it might be an compressor issue or sensor?

I don't have rear air ride, and am not very familiar with it.
But, since the bags pump up, and pump back up after deflating, I would think that the compressor is ok.
Possibly a check valve, or small hole in the bag or a line that opens up as the suspension travels.
At least my response bumps this back up in the New Posts.
Someone more familiar with your problem will be along soon enough.

If the suspension drops, it's supposed to automatically raise back to the regular ride height. Having to manually reinflate means that something is probably up with the ride height sensors, along with whatever is causing the deflation in the first place.
Diagnosis and replacement parts could get costly. You might want to look into a coil conversion -- it's pretty straightforward and doesn't affect ride comfort much at all. (I converted my '99 before I decided to junk it.)
