Sync Odometer to BCU
I replaced dead light bulbs behind the instrument panel. The Odometer started blinking non stop. I hear you can use a Nano or OBII to sync it. I'm in Chicago if anyone can help.

You can rent a Nanocom here (info is up in a sticky). As long as it's using the 1.35 firmware it'll take you 5 seconds to do. If it's not running 1.35 you can simply disable the flashing Odometer function and you'll be good to go as well.
So I have a 99 Disco that had a bad BCU. I replaced it with same model number. Odometer is blinking. The truck starts but immediately dies. I have the Nanocom and received error messages when trying to perform the sync to odometer function. I pulled the BCU and Ecu, and put them in my 02 disco. I now don’t receive the unable to communicate error message. I received unable to perform this function message. What should I do next??
What firmware is on the Nanocom? I'm pretty sure you need 1.34 or 1.35 for it to SYNC properly. You can contact Nanocom and they can get you setup on the correct firmware to perform the SYNC function.
I saw this on my Nanocom as well (and can confirm that's the most recent software).
However - it's somewhat terrible version management that they don't simply put "Software version 1.36" on the screen.

I don't understand why it can't say 1.36 either.
Here is the response from Blackbox Solutions member forums about this:
Hello, as i said before download the 1.36 and flash your Nanocom, there is no place where it says 1.36 but there is a global upgrade number 20020205 that is the latest one.
