The transfer case drain plug is pipe thread, no washer. (the transmission drain plug has a washer though)

The fill plug is pipe thread, but the workshop pdf manual shows the drain needing a crush seal. I'm happy to be wrong if it's not. The photo (number three) in the sticky on changing t-case oil shows a crush seal on the drain plug.

On both my 03 and 04, the transfer case has no crush gasket on either the fill or drain plugs. I use a permatex pipe tread sealant when I change my fluid and it works just fine.

I'm not sure what you're looking at, have you crawled under your truck and looked at the transfer drain plug? It will be clear that there is no provision for a crush washer on the drain plug (for the transfer case), like I said, the drain plug for the transmission (on the tin pan) has a crush washer. Maybe the picture you're looking at got the photos mixed up?

Default Transmission Plug Crush Washer Size

This is an old thread, but since no one was any help and it took some time to find, the copper crush washer for transmission and transfer case on Series Rovers is 28mm ID, and you can use anything from 34-36mm OD to match OEM. They want some ungodly price, $15-$20 each, for "official rover parts" through US based resellers. Suppliers in UK sell them cheap, but shipping eats you alive at $18-$25. Buy them at either of these links and save some cash as a US buyer:

SOLD INDIVIDUALLY: https://www.belmetric.com/hollow-cru...et-p-6160.html

PACK OF 5: Copper Gasket (Crush Washer), ID 1-1/8", OD 1-3/8" (AN900-18) (5 per pack) - MS35769-26 - Aircraft Specialties Services

You can also search for part #MS35769-26 on eBay to find multi-packs of these for even better prices.

Perhaps this caused confusion because it was posted in the wrong forum? Also, I have the aluminum cover from Roverdrive and it has a crush washer as shown here: https://littlegreenlandy.com/2018/07...n-drum-flange/

Just ordered these on ebay.
